- T-Edit uses pop-up dialog windows for many functions. If you have a pop-up blocker running - disable it while running T-Edit or set the blocker's preferences to always allow pop-ups for www.t-edit.com.
- T-Edit is set to run on Internet Explorer's default "Medium" security settings. If you have adjusted security settings you may need to re-set them to the "Medium" default or make www.t-edit.com a Trusted Site.
- Your browser should be set NOT to cache Web pages. (Other settings will prevent the browser from displaying the changed page when you save it.)
User Requirements
- Operating System: Windows
- Web Browser: Internet Explorer v6.0 (Windows) or above
Web Server Requirements
- Operating System: Unix/Linux
- Web Server: Apache
- Other: T-Edit requires that the server be running the suExec utility. SuExec is recommended by Apache and is a basic requirement for running any Perl or PHP program that allows users to alter files on the server through the browser. SuExec forces cgi processes to run as the owner of the script file, thereby allowing the process to write to files based on the Owner's permission. SuExec processes can therefore write to files in your domain that have only 0644 permissions. The 0644 permissions also prohibits a cgi script from another domain on the same server from also writing to your files.
